There's nothing better than having fun as well as giving back to the community, and that's what happened at the Cronulla Sea-Doo and Can-Am 2022 Charity fishing competition! This is our second year running that we are doing this, and based on feedback from all who participated, we hope to turn this into a tradition. It was a really amazing experience, filled with people who are passionate about sport fishing and who care about the youth learning this sport too. To enter, participants could make a donation of $50 or upwards, and they could participate and give back.
This year we had participants coming from the Newcastle and Wollongong regions, who graced us with their energy and whom it was a pleasure to host. We are proud to say that this year we raised over $2,020 to support the amazing work done by Beyond Blue. Beyond Blue does work in mental health awareness as well as wellbeing support, and especially since the pandemic, this has been a big issue plaguing our communities. Of course, the problem won't be solved in the short term, but a little does go a long way.
